Kide Science is excited to start in Texas: at The Goddard School® Cedar Park. Cedar Park is one of 600 private daycare settings in the Goddard Schools family; which covers 37 different US states and serves more than 75,000 students aged from six weeks to six years old.
Coincidentally, Kide Science CEO and Co-founder Sari Hurme-Mehtälä was invited to speak at the SXSW Edu conference in Austin and was one of the TOP 7 Launch competition finalists. Sari was presenting Kide Science’s pedagogical innovation and how it can be implemented in the US classrooms.
“This became a great opportunity to also visit our first Texas customer. We were able to see how 3-5 year-old children from Texas were just as engaged as the children in Finland,” said Sari Hurme-Mehtälä, CEO of Kide Science.
“We were honored to get a visit from the Kide Science team; all the way from Finland. We were so happy to show them how our school is filled with fun learning experiences - and now even more so, with the addition of playful Kide lessons,” says Butch Aggen, the owner of Goddard School of Cedar Park. “We couldn’t believe how excited our children were in the sessions, and how many Science skills were developed - even in 3 year old children!”
He continued, “Each day at the Goddard Schools, caring and attentive teachers provide countless opportunities to grow academically, socially, emotionally and physically in a safe and loving environment. We are so happy to support our teachers with more professional training and engaging lesson plans made by Kide Science pedagogical experts, researchers and teachers. We are also thrilled that both female founders, Sari Hurme-Mehtälä from Kide Science and Maria Aggen from the Goddard School of Cedar park got to celebrate Women's day together.”
